October 28, 2017-Cowboys Dancehall-San Antonio-Cowboys Dancehall’s annual Halloween Costume Contest was a big hit as usual this year. Marked with tons of “Sexy _______” costumes on the ladies-we also saw a lot of creepy clowns this year. Hmmmm….wonder why? The bull riders also got into the game with a costume contest on their own. In the end, Ralph Benson as “Prince” won the bull riders’ costume contest-he really “rocked” it. We had a variety of rider costumes: a pimp, jailbird, cow, redneck and “Rafiki” from the Lion King. On the actual bull riding side, all of the “paying places” were won on the backs of Sosa Buckers’ bulls. Winston Lopez made a great ride (86 points) on “Record Rack’s Black Mamba” for the win to pocket $800.00. The next bull riding event at Cowboys Dancehall San Antonio is the Rocky McDonald Invitational that will be held on November 18, 2017. This will be an enhanced event for the bull riders with $3,500.00 in added money and double points for the year-end awards.
