Waco, Texas-The 2014 Heart of Texas PBR presented by Waco Motorsports is “in the books.” The weekend was closed out with true sports drama-the event was won on the very last ride! Tanner Learmont rode Diamond Cross Rodeo’s 707 “Strokin'” for 87.5 points. That score, combined with his long round score of 84.5 points, gave him an aggregate total of 172 points to edge out Brant Atwood by one point. Learmont and Atwood were the only two cowboys to ride two bulls and mark an aggregate score.
The event was also host to the 2014 American Bucking Bull, Incorporated 2014 Waco Super Classic. A “Classic” event is an event where bucking bulls that are all similarly aged, between three and four years old, compete against one another for the best bull scores. The ABBI “Classic” bulls clearly got the best of the cowboys over the two day event. Thirty “Classic” bulls were each bucked twice this weekend and only three qualified rides were made on those 60 outs. The event’s champion bucking bull was 00 “Long Shot 2” owned by Let R’ Buck-Long Ranch.
