My wish for all of you is to have a peaceful Thanksgiving in which you can truly reflect on what God has blessed you with in your life. I urge each of you who is a place of unrest with a loved one or family member to work tirelessly to re-build those relationships through love, understanding, humility and prayer. I read the story below on the PBR’s website this afternoon and thought it particularly timely.
Disclosure: In my time in the rodeo business I have never met Frank Newsome and I was naive to the struggles of his past. Frank’s story is a clearly a testament to the human spirit and the power of faith. Rob Smets is a ProRodeo Hall of Fame Inductee, five time World Champion Bullfighter, a fellow announcer and my friend. The rodeo industry respects him immensely.
