Junction Bull Riding Results Night Two & Wrap-up

The 78th Annual Hill Country Fair Association Summer Classic Bull Riding Event presented by The Granite Ranch of Roosevelt, Texas is “in the books.” After two nights, bucking over 80 bulls and paying out almost $10,000 in prize money Francisco Morales of Irapuato, Guanajuato, Mexico was crowned the weekend average winner and awarded the Championship Buckle crafted by SB Western Silver.

If an “Iron Man” award were to be given out this weekend, Morales would have surely earned that as well. Friday night his long round bull, T4’s 730 “Pop-a-Top,” reared back in the chute and crushed him before the ride even began. On Saturday night he drew the very same bull but managed to make a qualified ride without incident. However, Morales was not so lucky in the Saturday night short go-round. Morales’ short-go bull hung a horn in the chute gate as it opened and caused the bull to fall over on top of him. The judges gave Morales a re-ride, but he was unable to cover the re-ride bull.
